The service is typically implemented as an ‘over-the-counter’ service in which an agent performs the transactions on his handset or as an ‘m-wallet’ based service in which the customer performs the transactions on his handset.
Bill payments have been implemented by a number of deployments, including Thailand’s True Money, Pakistan’s easypaisa, and Ghana’s MTN MobileMoney.
