Hi! Paul,
a survey of the adoption of mobile has been carried out by Olga Morawczynski at the university of Edinborough, does this comply with the result of your interview at MTN Money in Ghana?
In Nigeria, the adoption is not easy as such; I think the lack of public education is a big problem. Please, do you an idea about a global concept for mobile banking services public education in Africa?

Well, I think one of the best strategies that can be put in place for a rapid uptake of the unbanked in countries where moving with ID cards is still considered cumbersome, should be to carry out a six - 12 months registration campaign with multiple registration field agents.

Since with the Mpesa, every 10 subscribers was educated on Mobile Money by someone who had already been performing MMT transactions, if a hundred thousand people are registered within the first year of operations, that number can easily tripple in the second year with the help of active subscribers. So the earlier we get more people on our platforms, the faster the information will circulate and the benefits of the products will spur excited to-be subscribers to rush to registration points with their ID cards.
